Catacombs is the first, and currently only, Dungeon in SkyBlock. The Catacombs can be entered from the Catacombs Entrance or from the Dungeon Hub. Refer to Dungeons for all released dungeons.

Magical Map Locations

The following dot-points describe each location found on the magical map. A room with the minimal objective complete will display a white checkmark over it. A failed room displays a red X-cross. A fully completed room with all requirements and secrets will place a green checkmark over it.

  • Green Room: The Green Room is the room from which each dungeon run begins.
  • Brown Rooms: Brown Rooms are the most common rooms. They contain mobs to defeat and Secrets to find.
  • Yellow Room (Mini-Boss Room): Contains a Mini-Boss that is more difficult to beat than other Mini-Boss found in the dungeon. A list of all minibosses can be found on the miniboss page.
  • Purple Rooms (Puzzle Rooms): Contains a random Puzzle to solve. Each floor contains more difficult puzzles.
  • Orange Room (Trap Room): Found on Floors 3 and above only. Contains a high number of traps. Players must avoid the traps and find all the secrets to clear the room.
  • Pink Room (Fairy Room): Always spawns on the way to the Blood Room. Contains a healing pool and 4 Fairies which can be killed to revive a teammate, to get an extra Revive Stone or as a Ghost to revive.
  • Red Room (Blood Room): The final room containing The Watcher, with increasing difficulty on each consecutive floor. This will need to be cleared to get access to the BOSS room.
  • Question Mark Rooms: These rooms are unexplored, if at the door it contains a solid black line it usually indicated that there either is a wither door or a fairy room, and if there is a red line at the door of this room it indicated that this is the blood room.

Dungeon Puzzle Rooms

Dungeons have increasingly difficult Puzzle Rooms to be completed in each run for special bonuses.

Floors

Catacombs have seven floors and each floor contains a unique boss at the end and special loot. Everyone will start on the entrance floor and will have to beat the floor's boss to unlock the next one. Each floor will be exponentially harder than the last. When Necron is defeated (Floor 7) for the first time, a new difficulty, known as Master Mode, will be available.

Possible Chest Loots

At the end of the dungeon, players are rewarded with loot chests according to the performance of that run. These chests contain random rewards and can be opened for a price. Above is the article to a more descriptive look at each individual loot chest for each dungeon.

Dungeon Mobs

Due to the wide variety of mobs in The Catacombs, a separate article has been made to list them.

Death and Revival

When a player dies, they are not removed from the Dungeon. They will receive a set of tools to help out the other players.

They can be revived automatically after some time (until Floor 3), by a teammate which has selected the healer class, by themselves after 60 seconds if they are a Healer, by a Revive Stone, by the killing of a fairy or by killing their respective Wandering Soul summoned by the watcher.

When all players die, they fail the Dungeon.

Catacombs Levels

Catacombs levels are a sub-skill of the Dungeoneering Skill that upgrade the stats of Dungeon Items while inside the Catacombs by a certain percentage each time it levels up. A certain amount of xp is required for each level, and some items require certain catacomb levels to be used in The Catacombs at all. Levelling Catacombs Level gives Skyblock XP, which is used to level up an important Stat called Skyblock Levels.

Dungeoneering Skill

Dungeoneering is a skill that refers to the levelling up of all 5 class types, however, each class type has a separate amount of xp so all 5 classes are not normally the same level or total xp. It also has a separate subskill for each Dungeon (currently only the Catacombs).

Lore

  • Before being lead by The Wither King, The Catacombs served as burial ground for victims of The Calamity.
  • After his escape from cage assisted by Necron, The Wither King seized the Catacombs and slowly started building an army, slowly adding, in order, The Watcher, Livid, Storm and Sadan (how others joined The Catacombs is unclear).
  • After recruiting The Watcher and asking him to create a world where he, The Wither King, could once again be happy, Kaeman entrusted the Catacombs to Necron.
  • Following the expedition to the Catacombs, Necron sent Storm to destroy the human castle, however seeing how instead of an army he and his master have built a community, he started reconsidering his plans for world conquest.

Trivia

  • The Floor III boss was called Oak in the Alpha Hypixel Network.[1][2]
    • This was a reference to Professor Oak from the Pokémon franchise.
    • It is unknown why it was changed.
  • The Catacombs is believed to be related to the Crimson Isle.
    • Ashfang and Thorn have a similar attack pattern. Both of them only take damage from hits of their minions' death. They don't attack by themselves. Instead, they fight with minions.
    • Magma Boss and The Wither Lords have a similar attack pattern as well. Both of them spawn crowds of minions that deals massive damage. They also both deal high damage.
