Last week we released a >PSA< regarding some changes to the Crystal Hollows, the patch is released as of today, and the changes are as follow:
1/ The NPC sell price of Gemstones has been nerfed from 8 to 4
- Rough: 4
- Flawed: 320
- Fine: 25,600
- Flawless: 2,048,000
- Perfect: 10,240,000
2/ The Pristine chat message now correctly displays the amount of gems obtained.
3/ Added a price upon removing gems on items, with confirmation
- 1 Coin for Rough
- 100 for Flawed
- 10,000 for Fine
- 100,000 for Flawless
- 500,000 for Perfect
4/ Added a feature inside the Gemstone Grinder that unlocks gemstone slots on regular items. Not all items have locked slots, some items have only a few locked slots.
This change would only apply on new pieces of gear, all current armors/gear in the game have all slots unlocked by default. Any new piece dropped after 10:30 EST on September 13th (a few minutes ago), will have potential locked slots.

5/ Introduce Combat Slots, Mining Slots and Defensive Slots, to break away from Universal Slots. Which allows us to add more slots on items without worrying about their power level skyrocketing.
If you currently have a gemstone in a slot that won’t support it in the future, do not worry, you’ll be able to remove that gemstone for free.
6/ Item lore is now edited to display gemstone slot details: the type of slot, if it is unlocked or not, and the quality of the gemstone inside the slot if there is.
7/ The gemstone mixture recipe is changed to:
- 320 Sludge Juice instead of 500
- 4 Fine Jade/Amethyst/Amber/Sapphire instead of 2
8/ Crystal Nucleus Changes:
- Upon completing, new bonus of 800 HotM EXP every time.
- New bonus of 1 Fine Gemstones of each type on top of current rewards
- Add rare rewards
- 1 gemstone mixture
- 1 Fortune 4 book
- Jaderald is approximately 50% more common
- Add very rare rewards
- Make flawless gemstones a bit more common.
- 1 new pet item that gives Mining Speed and Mining Fortune
9/ Make the Artifact of power upgrade rarity when you put 7 perfect gemstones on it.
10/ The default rarity of the Divan's Drill will remain MYTHIC. However, we will officialize a rarity above MYTHIC, called DIVINE, with its own reforge stats. This rarity will be kept exclusive to items of the caliber of the Divan’s Drill. DIVINE will be added as an AH filter. Enchanted Books cannot be DIVINE. Currently only mining related reforges have Divine stats, because the Divan's Drill is the only legitimate Mythic item.
11/ Add chat toggles in settings to Pristine and Compact messages.
12/ The Jungle Pickaxe is changed to give 1 Sludge Juice instead, with 3% chance.
13/ Increase the odds of Divan’s Alloy dropping by 20%.
14/ Change Scatha’s 2nd perk to increase odds of finding regular chests instead. Change the 3rd perk to only work on adjacent hardstone instead of every block. Some extra details on the worm spawning buffs: Currently it checks if the players are in a small tunnel, but the requirements are often too small, worms will now be able to spawn in larger tunnels.
15/ Prismatic and Compact enchantements can now be on the same items.
16/ Slight buffs to how many stats the Sapphire, Ruby and Amethyst gemstone slots provide.

17/ Ruby and Jasper Crystals will now have a chance to drop from Crystal Nucleus.
18/ Players that have too many Heart of the Mountain tokens will have those tokens reset!
19/ The description of the Jungle Amulet is now improved to better explain what it does.
20/ Added a toggle on Heart of the Mountain perks
21/ Fixed a few bugs:
- Fixed a recipe issue with Storm Armor pieces
- Fixed Spicy Goblin Omelette giving Mithril Ore instead of 20 Mithril Powder
- Fixed Sunny Side Goblin Omelette not applying stats correctly
- Fixed lots of recipe items not retaining their item data when crafting
- Fixed the issue where gemstone sacks would yell at you for having a full inventory all of the time
