Hello everyone!
Today we are releasing the next major patch of SkyBlock which includes a new form of progression along with many balancing and QoL changes!
► SkyBlock Leveling
Today, we are tying up the multiple forms of denoting progression into a centralized system: SkyBlock Levels. Now, everyone will have a level that shows the progression they have in the game.
You can view the different ways to gain SkyBlock XP along with your specific breakdown:
View an individual breakdown of each XP Task
Along with this, you now see SkyBlock Levels shown in the player list (tab), and while they do not show in chat by default, you have a setting to toggle SkyBlock Levels in chat:
As well as denoting your general progress in the game, SkyBlock Levels also reward you for your progression:
- Gain permanent stat boosts based on your level!
- Various features such as Bazaar, Community Shop, the Wardrobe, and more, have been relocated to SkyBlock Levels progression.
- Unlock a new public Level Prefix at specific levels!
There is still a lot we want to do with levels, such as balancing, adding multiple ways to gain XP and also making it more clear what tasks players should focus on at each stage of their progression.
* Note: Levels are retroactive, upon logging in you will be automatically given a level respective to your progress in the game.
► Changes to Fairy Souls & Backpack Slots
With the release of Leveling, Fairy Souls no longer give permanent stat boots. Now, they grant:
- SkyBlock XP
- Unlocking Backpack Slots
- Backpack Slots 2-18 will now be locked by default. The more Fairy Souls you find, the more Backpack Slots you will unlock.
* Note: Backpacks that are already in locked slots will stay in those slots, no worries!
► Peak of the Mountain
The following changes have been made:
- Added Peak of the Mountain 6
- Cost - 500,000 Gemstone Powder
- Rewards - +2 Gemstone Powder when mining Gemstones
- Added Peak of the Mountain 7
- Cost - 750,000 Gemstone Powder
- Rewards - 1 Token of the Mountain
- Heart of the Mountain 7 Reward: 2 -> 3 Token of the Mountain
► Croesus, Dungeon Treasures
There is a new NPC in the Dungeon Hub called Croesus which hoards all the treasures from your dungeon runs and allows you to open them later.
Croesus in the Dungeon Hub around
You can keep up to 60 runs in Croesus, and each run has a 48 hours expiry date, so make sure you open your chests before they disapear!
► General Changes
- Added Curse of Greed effect, applied right now only on the Emerald Blade:
Curse of Greed effect
We are aware of the bug that caused players to lose coins on release, and we will refund ALL THE COINS that players lost from it.
Stay tuned for updates on the situation.
* Note: We felt like the Emerald Blade's risk of losing coins on death was being negated by too many effects that were later added to the game. This should bring back the fear factor of using this powerful weapon, without the need for us to nerf it.
