Crafting is a gameplay mechanic that allows the player to obtain new items with some items as ingredients. Crafting is awarded with Carpentry skill experience.
In SkyBlock, a Recipe, synonymous with Crafting Recipe, specifies the amounts and positions of ingredients for crafting.
The gameplay mechanic is an expansion of the vanilla Minecraft mechanic with the same name. In SkyBlock, crafting has a different menu and is more accessible in the sense that players don't need to craft a Crafting Table since it's also available in the SkyBlock Menu.
SkyBlock also has various other recipes that are not available in vanilla Minecraft to make obtaining custom items possible.
Usage[]
To craft, players can use the 2×2 crafting grid in their inventory, crafting the Crafting Table or using a pre-existing one in the SkyBlock Menu.
It's worth noting that the 2×2 in the inventory doesn't support custom items that are not from vanilla Minecraft. Items crafted in the 2x2 grid also don't have custom SkyBlock lore or rarity tags, and can't be stacked with items that do.
To fix this bug, simply throw the item(s) without the tag on the ground with other items with it so they stack, then pick them back up again.
Quick Crafting[]
Quick Crafting is a mechanic unlocked at Carpentry III (3). It was added in the 0.7.6 update, and it allows players to quickly craft multiple items. There are three slots to the right of the output slot in the Crafting UI where the three most expensive items that can be crafted with the materials in the player's inventory will appear. This feature is only available to players with the [VIP] rank and above. On Ⓑ Bingo profiles, it is available to all players, including those without a rank. On ☀ Stranded profiles, it is only available to [VIP+] players and above.
Recipe[]
One of the most common crafting recipes in SkyBlock is Enchanted items.
It usually requires 160 of the raw materials to craft their enchanted equivalent. An exception to this are items that do not stack up to 64. For example, since Ender Pearl only stack up to 16, their enchanted form, Enchanted Ender Pearl, has a different crafting recipe that requires 20 Ender Pearls.
Interface[]
Forms[]
There are two forms of recipes.
Normal recipes are crafted in one or more fixed configurations (or pre-defined positions). To craft an item with a normal recipe, the amounts and positions of ingredients must align with one of the pre-defined positions.
For example, similar to most "Enchanted" tier of items crafted with 160 of the previous tier item, the crafting recipe for Enchanted Diamond is a normal recipe with 2 fixed configurations.
Shapeless recipes are crafted with no fixed configurations. To craft an item with a shapeless recipe, the amounts of ingredients must match the recipe, with no requirement on the positions of ingredients. When crafting, items can be rearranged in any way and still create the same item.
