The Crypt Ghoul is a level 30 hostile mob added in the Slayer update. It appears as a Zombie wearing Chainmail Armor and holding an Iron Sword.

Behavior[]
Crypt Ghouls attack the player using an iron sword. They have a higher movement speed than that of a regular zombie. They become hostile when the player gets within 8 blocks of them.
Sometimes Crypt Ghouls do not attack the player if they are standing right next to them. Although this is probably a bug, it is unlikely that it will get fixed.

- Due to their high
Combat experience yield, Crypt Ghouls are very good for Zombie Slayers. They also spawn in large quantities, making them easy to kill. - During the Spooky Festival, the maximum number of Crypt Ghouls per spot increases to 4.
