Drills are mining tools for rock-based materials. They can use the same Enchantments and Reforges as pickaxes do. They also have a Ⓟ Breaking Power just like pickaxes.
Drills require Drill Fuel to function. Most blocks cost 1 base fuel to mine. Aquamarine, Citrine, Onyx and Peridot Gemstones cost 2 base fuel to mine. Glacite, Tungsten and Umber cost 3 base fuel to mine.
The remaining Drill Fuel can be seen on the action bar.
Drill Parts are additional upgrades for Drills. These can be combined to a drill using a Drill Anvil. There are three available categories of Drill Parts, being Fuel Tanks, Drill Engines, and Upgrade Modules.
Fuel Tanks[]
Fuel Tanks are used to increase the amount of fuel a drill can store
Every 100 fuel consumed increases your ♨ Heat or ❄ Cold by 1.
Tips[]
The Mithril drills are not recommended, since they have a low breaking power, and compared to their stats (and the better gemstone drills) are expensive and have only 2 tiers.
Players should first go for the gemstone drill line since they are cheap compared to the titanium drills, can be forged at lower HotM levels and have a high breaking power
On the other side, the gemstone drills are very slow when not mining gemstones. If the player has enough money and a sufficient HotM level, it is a good idea to go for the titanium drill line, with the goal of Divan's Drill.
Trivia[]
Extra blocks mined with the Efficient Miner HotM perk do not consume extra Drill Fuel.
On August 23, 2022 all drills would give 50-550 (depending on Drill Engine) of each stat due to a bug, this was fixed minutes later
