Custom Dyes are items used to change the sprite of vanilla Armor pieces. They are dropped from various places in the game, and most of them are very rare.

Usage[]

Dyes can be combined with any vanilla armor piece (i.e., not helmets that are a skull item) in an Anvil for 100 Bits to change their appearance.

The item will have a new icon next to their name, with the color of the dye displayed at the bottom. This helps people distinguish them from exotics.

Dyes can also be donated to Vincent Sprite Vincent to obtain a Bucket of Dye Bucket of Dye Accessory with the color of the donated dye.

  • Necron Dye used to be the only custom dye that has the LEGENDARY rarity.
  • An alternative option to buying/grinding for rare and expensive dyes is to use the "/neucustomize" command in the Not Enough Updates mod, where a player can change the color of their leather armor pieces. However this change is only client side and no other players will be able to see it.
