The Farm Crystal is unlocked at Pumpkin VIII and can be placed on the Private Island. It increases the speed of nearby Farming minions by 10%; however, it will affect only minions that spawn crops and not those that spawn mobs. Its effective radius is 8 blocks. Only one crystal can be placed on a player's island at a time. This item cannot be sold in the Auction House.

Range

Unlike Floating Crystals, the range of the crystal isn't a square. The blue area below is the radius, and the red squares are the ideal minion placement.

The range can also be calculated manually, using the following formula:

$\sqrt{\left(\text{x of Orb} - \text{x of minion}\right)^2 + \left(\text{y of Orb} - \text{y of minion}\right)^2 + \left(\text{z of Orb} - \text{z of minion}\right)^2}$

If the result is less than or equal to 8, the minion is in range.

Trivia

• Affected minions are crop minions such as Nether Wart, Cocoa, and Cactus minions, but not animal minions such as Pig, Chicken, and Cow.
  • Mushroom Minions are supposed to be affected by the crystal, its currently unknown why this isn't the case.
