☘ Farming Fortune is a stat that affects a player's chance to get more crops. It has no effect while you are on your Private Island.

Scaling

Crop chances are additive; to calculate the crop chance, add the percentage of every bonus that the player has. For example, if the player had a farming level of 20, they would have a 80% chance. The first digit (for 3-digit) or first two digits (for 4-digit) in someone's farming fortune is how many extra drops they are guaranteed to get. The following digits are the chance of getting 1 more drop. For example, if someone had a farming fortune of 260, they would get 3x drops every time and a 60% chance to get 4x drops.

Theoretical Maximum

The theoretical maximum can be achieved while farming in the Garden with the following:

Permanent sources

• Farming Skill Level 60 (+240 ☘)
• Level 100 LEGENDARY  Mooshroom Cow Pet holding a Green Bandana while Garden Level 15 and maxed out ❁ Strength
  • You get +170 ☘ at 0 ❁ Strength and +0.7 ☘ per 20 ❁ Strength. The formula is $\text{Extra Farming Fortune} = \left\lfloor\frac{\text{Strength}}{20} \times 0.7\right\rfloor$.
  • The maximum currently achievable extra ☘ Farming Fortune this way (without sacrificing any fortune from other sources, except for the  Elephant Pet) is +46.9 ☘, assuming 1340 ❁ Strength.
  • For Mushrooms, you effectively gain +100 ☘ additional ☘ Farming Fortune due to the extra mushroom drop perk.
  • If using an axe, an additional +1 ☘ can be gained using Hot Potato Books, Fuming Potato Books and Art of War.
  • If using a Withered  Daedalus Axe with Chimera V at  Catacombs 50, an additional +347 ☘ can be gained on top of the axe fortune bonus.
    •  Mushroom: -46 compared to a Blessed LEGENDARY  Fungi Cutter set to the right color, so a net of +302 ☘
    •  Cocoa Beans: -36 compared to a Blessed LEGENDARY  Cocoa Chopper, so a net of +312 ☘
      • It is inconvenient to use a  Daedalus Axe for farming  Cocoa Beans due to no Replenish and being able to accidentally break logs, but it can be useful for maxing contest scores.
    • Other crops are not viable, because  Melon and  Pumpkin cannot be insta-broken with it, and maxed hoes can already get higher ☘ Farming Fortune.
  • Note: As this is very expensive, a Level 100 LEGENDARY  Elephant Pet holding a Green Bandana while Garden Level 15 (+210 ☘) is a good alternative for crops other than Mushroom.

  • 2381 for Carrots & Wheat (assuming a 1Q counter; realistically possible: 2189)

Since the highest Personal Bonus from Jacob Contest is technically not legitimately achievable, you should subtract around 50 from each of these to get a more realistic value.

Tips

• Before the Garden 1.5 update, wearing Rancher's Boots with Fermento Armor gave the most farming fortune possible. Now with the Mossy reforge and the fact that Rancher's Boots are rarity locked at LEGENDARY while Fermento Armor can go to MYTHIC, Fermento Boots can give more farming fortune than Rancher's. However, this is only the case until  Farming LX, at that point they become equal. They also increase the drop rate of the tiered bonuses from Melon, Cropie, and Squash Armor at the cost of being unable to adjust your ✦ Speed easily. You can try adjusting your speed by disabling potions and using Tuning Points instead.

Trivia

• During the Spooky Festival, it is possible to achieve higher ☘ Farming Fortune with  Bat Person Armor than  Fermento Armor. For maximum effect, use the Mossy reforge and the Pesterminator V enchantment, and recombobulate the armor.
