Floating Crystals

Floating Crystals are entities that float a couple blocks in the air and provide an effect in a set area around themselves.

There are currently eight floating crystals that players can obtain for their Private Island. Each is obtained through different means; seven are able to be picked up by right-clicking them and replaced elsewhere after crafting an island (with the exception being the Bat Crystal), while only three crystals are craftable without an island.

Obtaining

Each Island comes with a floating crystal that provides a special benefit. Crystals will only appear if no others of the same type are on the island.

	Bat Crystal	Roofed Forest Island (Dark Oak Wood VI)	No	20	It summons Bats and regenerates the tree-based blocks on the island. Unlike all other Island Crystals, this crystal can not be picked up. If it is removed, making a new Roofed Forest Island will generate a new crystal. This crystal is only active during the night.

Unobtainable floating crystals

There are some floating crystals in the world that cannot be obtained by a player.

• Farming:
  • Carrot/Potato Crystal - Found in the Farm. Carrot Crystals can also found in the tunnel between the Carpenter and the Flower House
  • Melon/Pumpkin Crystal - Found in the Farm
  • Flower - Found outside of Marco's Flower House
• Fishing:
  • Fairy Armor Crystal - Found in pond next to Tia the Fairy
  • Clay Crystal - Increases chance of fishing up clay. Found in the lake next to the Fisherman's Hut

Tips

• If the Wheat Crystal is 2 blocks above the starting dirt, it can cover 6 blocks in each direction. A square can be made by filling in the corners.
• If the Desert Crystal is placed 5 blocks below the ending sand block, it can cover 16 blocks in all directions to create a 33x33 square space of crop that the crystal can utilize.
• The radius is omnidirectional.
