Trophy Fish are a type of Fishing Loot that can be rarely caught on the Crimson Isle. They can be filleted by Odger for Magmafish, and collecting certain amounts of Trophy Fish will change the player's Trophy Fisher title.

Obtaining[]

Trophy Fish can be occasionally caught while lava fishing in the Crimson Isle, with different requirements to catch each Trophy Fish. There are four tiers of each Trophy Fish: Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Diamond. Wearing Hunter Armor, using Hot Bait, using a Hellfire Rod, equipping a EPIC Kuudra Pet, and having the Trophy Hunter Attribute increase the chance for Trophy Fish to be caught. The Midas Lure Perk and the Radiant Fisher Perk only apply to Gold and Diamond Trophy Fish chances respectively.

When the player catches something while fishing, all Trophy Fish that the player meets the requirements for are rolled as possible catches, from lowest to highest catch chance. If no Trophy Fish is caught, Sea Creatures and normal Fishing loot are then rolled.

The player's 100th and 1,000th catch of a unique fish are guaranteed to be Gold and Diamond respectively, if the player has not caught the specific tier before.

Tier Chances[]

When a Trophy Fish is caught, the game rolls for which tier to give the player, starting with the Diamond tier. If the Diamond tier is not granted, Gold is rolled next, and so on. If the first three tiers are not granted, Bronze is guaranteed. The Charm Enchantment applies to each of these chances, except Bronze.

Diamond: 0.2% (0.22% with Charm V)
Gold: 2% (2.2% with Charm V)
Silver: 25% (27.5% with Charm V)
Bronze: 100%

Overall, the chance for each tier is as follows. The values below are exact.

Diamond: 0.2% (0.22% with Charm V)
Gold: 1.996% (2.19516% with Charm V)
Silver: 24.451% (26.835831% with Charm V)

Bronze: 73.353% (70.749009% with Charm V)

The Midas Lure Perk now grants a 2-20% increase in catching Gold Trophy Fish.

The Radiant Fisher Perk now grants a 2-20% increase in catching Diamond Trophy Fish.

When it appears as a golden head partially submerged in the lava, hook it with the rod and wait for the message "The Golden Fish escapes your hook but looks weakened." to appear. Then, hook it repeatedly until the message "The Golden Fish is weak!" appears. At this point, it can be reeled in, and the timer resets.

Rewards[]

Catching more individual tiers of Trophy Fish can increase the player's Trophy Fishing level, allowing them to get rewards from Odger. Upgrading Trophy Fishing levels also allows the player to fish up stronger lava Sea Creatures and use better Fishing Rods and gear.

Additionally, fishing up Gold and Diamond Trophy fishes yields 15 and 30 Bits respectively, increased by the player's Bits Multiplier.

Filleting[]

Trophy Fish can be filleted by Odger to be converted into Magmafish.

SkyBlock Levels[]

Catching all Bronze, Silver, Gold and Diamond of one type of Trophy Fish rewards SkyBlock XP, which increases the player's SkyBlock Level.

Trivia[]

The zones for Moldfin, Volcano Stonefish, Flyfish, and Skeleton Fish are slightly overlapped with their adjacent zones. For example, both Moldfin and Volcanic Stonefish can be caught at the west edge of ⏣ Mystic Marsh.
Moldfins can be caught in ⏣ Scarleton, and Skeleton Fish can be caught in ⏣ Dragontail. This is likely due to both locations simply being a part of the Mystic Marsh and Burning Desert respectively, notably in sharing the same Red Sand and Mycelium themes.
