Up to ten Hot Potato Books can be applied to one item at an anvil. Hot Potato Books do not require experience points to be applied. Up to 5 Fuming Potato Books can also be applied to an item.
The Stat bonuses of Hot Potato Books are doubled by the 
LEGENDARY Blaze Pet's Fusion-Style Potato perk.

Trivia
- Players used to be able to make Hot Potato Books by buying the resources from the Farm Merchant for 59,748.3333 coins. This method is no longer feasible as players can only buy up to 640 Potatoes a day.
- If the player has unlocked the recipe and wants to buy Hot Potato Books from the Bazaar it is better to buy Enchanted Baked Potatoes and craft it with paper since it is not only a bit cheaper, but also grants a lot of Carpentry XP.
