An Abuse Filter Bypass (AF Bypass) is sometimes granted to active editors, and it gives them the ability to edit without the Abuse Filter giving them trouble. Although they are not officially wiki staff, users with an AF Bypass have the same permissions on the wiki as a Rollback.
The Abuse Filter is much less lenient when it comes to edits from new users, so new users who make good faith edits might get blocked or have their edits not be published. In these cases, a wiki admin may give the user an AF Bypass. If you were blocked by the Abuse Filter and were editing in good faith, you can appeal your block. An administrator will review your edit, and if they agree that you weren't being disruptive, they will unblock you. Administrators can also publish any filtered changes at their discretion.
Request[]
If you have a valid reason to get the AF Bypass, please contact an Administrator or Bureaucrat on their Message Wall, or you can request it on our Discord Server:
Give your wiki username and ask for the AF Bypass.
Length of Bypass[]
Administrators and Bureaucrats can give a bypass that lasts 1, 3, 6, or 12 months. It can be renewed, revoked, or shortened at any time at the discretion of the admin team. To request a renewal, follow the same procedure (above) as for requesting a new bypass.
List of Users[]
When an admin grants the AF Bypass to a user, information about that bypass must be recorded below. When the role expires, it should either be renewed or removed from the table. If it is removed, the Discord role should also be removed from the user if they have it.
