Welcome to the wiki! This is a community-made wiki for Hypixel SkyBlock. We not only provide information for SkyBlock players at our best capabilities, but also constantly improve our presentation on and accuracy of such information.

Aspect of the EndAspect of the Void

At home in the hotbar: The Aspect of the End

Weapons in SkyBlock are essential to the game for dealing damage, whether through their high stats like the Giant's Sword Giant's Sword or the Dark Claymore Dark Claymore. Their arrows like the Terminator Terminator or the Last Breath Last Breath. Or like the Hyperion Hyperion or Bonzo's Staff Bonzo's Staff, which deal damage through their RIGHT CLICK item abilities.

While all of these powerful (or not so powerful), items are incredibly useful and see frequent use in our hotbars, they can't be used in every situation, and many will eventually be replaced by better items in the future. SkyBlock is a very diverse game with lots of different strategies which require lots of different items. For example, the Terminator is incredibly useful for things such as Dungeons, Kuudra, and is even sometimes used for fighting Voidglooms, but it cannot be applied effectively to all situations. There are just better options, or in some cases the Terminator is of no use at all, like Zombie Slayer (Revenant bosses are immune to arrows).

But while SkyBlock requires you to use a diverse array of items, there is one item that always remains by your side, the Aspect of the End Aspect of the End. Ever since the player acquires one it is used for everything short of the Dojo and the Floor 7 and Master Mode 7 bossfights. It's ability Instant Transmission is simple, costing 50 ✎ Mana, the Aspect of the End will teleport you eight blocks forwards and grant you 50 ✦ Speed for 3 seconds. Where in some situations you may be using vastly different items, it is almost guaranteed you will still be using the Aspect of the End.

Useful for teleporting across the Hub or the vast Crimson Isle, the Aspect of the End is the main form of transportation in the SkyBlock game. There are multiple unique ways to upgrade it apart from the enchants and Hot Potato Book Hot Potato Books you would give a normal weapon. The Etherwarp Conduit Etherwarp Conduit and Etherwarp Merger Merger which together can give the Aspect of the End a second ability that can let the player teleport to a targeted block up to 57 blocks away. Transmission Tuner Transmission Tuners that increase the range of teleportation. The Aspect of the Void Aspect of the Void upgrade which reduces the ✎ Mana Cost by 5 and turns the sword into a shovel. And the warped reforge, which doesn't see much use since its ✎ Intelligence is inferior to that of the heroic reforge.

Almost certainly the most used item in all of SkyBlock, the Aspect of the End has a permanent place on almost all of our hotbars. You probably use it without even thinking. Just think that without it we'd be running around with ender pearls and grappling hooks (and Hyperions for those of us who can afford one). Let's always appreciate that we have what just well may be SkyBlock's most useful item.


Submitting An Article

We accept multiple drafts for each month, so you may write competing articles. Use the button below to submit drafts. We suggest 50-200 words in its main content, but there is no hard limit. You may also discuss your ideas on our Discord, or on the Message Wall of article authors.
The staff team will run procedures for article selection and modification when one or more article is ready. Your draft will be scheduled for staff approval at least 23 days after the last has been deployed, and the approval will last for 7 days. Author/Co-authors will be credited.

Guidelines

The following policies can be further discussed with the Staff Team. Feel free to contact User:Kwopy for any issues.

Rules for Editors
  • A maximum of 2 drafts can be submitted per person.
  • An editor can take down a draft they have written and awaiting approval by request, unless it is in an approval session or is already approved.
  • At any time, the staff team has the right to modify the format and wordings of the article to an extent that does not alter the original meaning.
  • We suggest 50-200 words for an AOTM article, but there is no hard limit. Editors can use any lengths depending on the content or their interest on that topic.
  • The author of an article has the right to modify an article after it has been uploaded or waitlisted (is waiting for a future approval session) and before it enters an approval session.
Criteria for Starting an Approval Session
  • An AOTM can be posted at anytime, but it will stay for at least 30 days.
  • An approval session shall only start on 25th of any month; staff must check the draft pool on that day. There must be at least 1 draft in the available draft pool at the time.
  • A maximum of 1 article from each editor will be taken for voting in a month. The latest will always be chosen unless an author requests otherwise.
  • New draft submissions cannot be added to an approval session after it starts.
Criteria for Removing an Article
  • [Code: R-HalfVotes] If a draft has over half Decline votes in any approval session, it will be removed from future approval sessions.
  • [Code: R-MaxTries] If a draft has not been selected as Article of the Month 6 months after it has been submitted, it will be removed from future approval sessions.
  • [Code: R-QualityIssue] If a draft is non-Hypixel SkyBlock related, is too simple, is too subjective, or contains vulgar language, it will be removed from the draft submission page and from any approval sessions.
  • [Code: R-SimilarityIssue] An article too similar to previous drafts without giving proper attributions to the author will be removed from the draft submission page and from any approval sessions.
Approval Voting
  • When an approval session opens, a Discord Thread will be opened. All staff can see the thread and vote.
  • Voting will take 7 days.
  • For staff who want to see or modify the drafts, a drafting space will be open for us to view and modify articles. All staff can edit the articles, just don't start wars.
  • A vote message for each draft will be pinned, with the options of Favourite, Waitlist and Decline.
    • A staff member is recommended to cast a vote on all drafts.
    • At most 1 article can be voted as Favourite per voter. Otherwise, their votes will be discarded. There is no such restriction on other options.
    • The Waitlist option is for "Support to give the article a chance to participate in future sessions, but it is not my favourite this month".
    • The Decline option is for "Support to give the article no chance to participate in future sessions".
Determining Approved Draft
  • Only when Favourite is over half the total votes will a draft be approved. If less than 1 approved drafts, articles with most Favourite votes will be selected.
  • Otherwise, if Decline is over half the total votes, or it has been 6 months after the draft has been submitted and has entered at least 2 approval sessions, it meets the Criteria for Removing an Article. The article will not participate future approval sessions.
  • Otherwise, the article will be waitlisted for future approval sessions. If the article was modified during the session, it will be pasted in place of the draft for the author's reference.
  • If there is more than one selected articles, a 24-hour tiebreaking vote will be held. The draft with the most vote will be approved. If there is a tie after the tiebreaking vote, one article will be picked using a random number. Other drafts from the tiebreaker session will be unconditionally kept for future approval sessions.
  • The outcome of the vote can be 1 approved article, or no approved article.
Approved Draft
  • The approved draft will be placed on its own page, and on the "Completed Articles" list, and shown on the main page for at least 30 days. Its month of deployment will be used in the page name. For example, if an article is deployed on 30 January 2022, it will be on the page Project:Article of the Month/Jan 2022.


FAQ

Why involve the Staff Team?
  • As AOTM can be submitted by anyone, we want to screen/improve the drafts before usage, as content may end up on the main page. We believe the staff team is the right group to approve and modify them.
Once I submit an article, can I edit it?
  • Yes! If you feel the need to change a few things or you think you left something out, feel free to edit it! Once voting begins, however, only Staff will be able to edit your submission, to improve it without changing the general idea.
    • If you feel you missed something out after voting has begun, feel free to contact a member of Staff.
Can I resubmit my article if it gets denied?
  • No. If the staff team has rejected your article, you may not repost it in future sessions. Your article may get waitlisted if the staff team believe your submission has potential in future voted, in which case you will be notified.
