Obtaining

The Ice Spray Wand is a rare drop from the Frozen Adventurer on Catacombs Floor 4 or higher with a drop chance of 0.1%.

Upgrading

The Ice Spray Wand can be upgraded using 8  Winter Fragments. When upgraded, it gives +8 ❁ Damage, +17 ✎ Intelligence, +2000 ❁ Damage to the Ice Spray ability, and adds a ⚚ to the item name.

Usage

Its ability creates a cone of ice 7.5 blocks long and 60° wide. The cone passes through walls. All mobs within the cone take damage, are frozen in place for 5 seconds and take 10% more damage from other attacks. Frozen mobs have a group of small ice blocks around their heads.

While frozen, mobs can still take knockback and use abilities, such as Shadow Assassin teleporting.

Most mobs which are immune to the  Aspect of the Dragons' ability are also immune from the effects of the Ice Spray Wand. These mobs include Slayer bosses and Mythological Creatures.

Trivia

• Its area of effect is precisely a right circular cone, with its axis in the direction the player is facing, of height 7.5 blocks and apex angle 60°.
• Its effect will conflict with other slowing effects such as those from the  Frozen Scythe.
  • If the target isn't affected by any other slowness abilities, it will completely freeze. However, if the target is affected by other slowness abilities, it doesn't freeze and can attack as usual.
•  Fire Freeze Staff has a similar ability in different range, and while harder to time, without the added ❁ Damage bonus, does work on some enemies the Ice Spray Wand does not, such as Mythological Creatures or some Dungeon bosses, namely the Professor.
  • It however doesn't affect some enemies that Ice Spray Wand can freeze, such as Dungeon minibosses.
