- Players can use Leads, Jump Boost Potions, or Grappling Hooks to quickly climb up the mountain with an animal.
- The best method is combine a lead with Spider or Tarantula boots and double-jumping to the very top. The animal will only take damage based on the distance from its highest point to the elevation of the spot it lands on, so it will take minimal damage only once when it lands on the top of the mountain.
- Another method, although more difficult and expensive is to use Spirit Boots to fly up the mountain. The boots will get you up the mountain in 2 flights because flights are very short.
- The Regeneration effect can be applied to the animal in order to prevent it from dying from fall damage.
- The Necromancy mechanic can be used to get the Sea Emperor up to Jake for the Golden Ball.
- Using a Totem of Corruption instantly heals the mobs to full health. It also triples their health, although Fall damage is based on max health, so this is not as useful.
