The Leaping Sword is an EPICSword that can be crafted at Spider Eye IX Collection. It can be upgraded into the Silk-Edge Sword. Its ability causes the user to leap into the air.
Ability: Leap<<Right Click>> Leap into the air and deal 472.5 base Magic Damage to any nearby enemies upon landing on the ground. Damaged enemies will also be stunned for 1 second. Mana Cost:50 Cooldown:1s
When the ability is used, the player will be thrust forward. Upon landing, all enemies within a 4 block radius will be dealt 350 base ability damage and be frozen for 1 second. The ability costs 50 Mana and has a cooldown of 1s.
It can be upgraded to the Silk-Edge Sword. Upgrading a Leaping Sword to a Silk-Edge Sword will keep all of its upgrades.
In Floor 5 of Dungeons, players were able to abuse the Livid boss fight by spamming the Leaping Sword's ability on him to stun him from cloning himself allowing the real Livid to be revealed and to be killed a lot easier. However, this was a glitch and patched on the release of Floor 6.
The cooldown of the Leap ability is separate from the cooldown of the same ability but with the Silk-Edge Sword. This means that they can be alternately used to gain incredible aerial movement.
This sword is directly related to another Hypixel mini-game, Mega Walls. The Leaping Sword's ability is the same as the class of "Spider" in Mega Walls.
If used in the hub, the ability can be used to kill passive mobs.
