Trivia

• Not long before the leak of the information of new collections of Crimson Isle update about Mycelium and Red Sand collections, the ability of obtaining Mycelium, including spreading onto dirt and buying from trades menu, were removed. This was likely for preventing stockpiling by alpha testers.
  • As ⏣ Crimson Isle released on April 20, 2022, mycelium spreading onto dirt has been re-enabled.
• Using a  Builder's Ruler or  Block Zapper to remove mycelium will turn it into dirt, with the following message:
  Your # Mycelium has turned into Dirt!
  • This happens even on ⏣ The Garden, where mycelium spread is disabled.
• Collecting Mycelium turned from  Dirt on Private Islands does increase collection, that is unless the dirt block was placed by a player.
  • However, there are only limited ways to have Mycelium giving collection on the island: the initial island (turn  Grass blocks to dirt by placing blocks right onto them), some type of placeable islands, and  Mycelium Minions.
• Contrary to the low light level requirement of  Mushroom spreading, Mycelium requires high light level to spread onto dirt.
