At the end of each year I bake cakes for everyone in town to celebrate the year. I made one especially for you, here you go.
New Year Cake is a SPECIAL item players can obtain from the 
Baker every SkyBlock Year during the New Year Celebration (29-31 of Late Winter).
Each cake can only be claimed once per player, and is unique to the SkyBlock year it was received. This means cakes from previous years are no longer obtainable. The only way to get them is buying them from another player or the Auction House.
This results in recent New Year Cakes fetching a low value in the Auction House, while certain cakes, mainly the first ten, year 69 and year 100 (Century Cake) are worth millions of coins each.
Usage[]
New Year Cakes can be stored in the 
New Year Cake Bag. Each cake from a SkyBlock year adds +1 ❤ Health to the New Year Cake Bag while stored inside.
Trivia[]
- Players were able to get the 0th New Year Cake in Year 71, but the item was subsequently blacklisted. Some players, however, received the 71st Cake as expected, and some received the 72nd Cake in error.
- A celebration happens the last three days of each SkyBlock year, and the New Year Cake received shows the year that is ending instead of the next year. For example, at the end of SkyBlock year 1, right before the start of year 2, the cake showed the 1st SkyBlock year.
- There are currently 372? unique cakes, as there have been 372? New Year Celebrations so far.
- Players were able to get multiple cakes in Year 1 by switching hub servers. This was patched for Year 3.
- Because of a glitch in obtaining the cake, Year 2 cakes are the most expensive cakes.
- During SkyBlock Year 144-146 (from June 23 to July 4, 2021), the Baking Specialist appeared at
-12, 70, -44 and handed out the Year 143 New Year Cake, because Hypixel was in maintenance mode during the New Year Celebration of Year 143. During the New Year Celebration of Year 144 and 145, both the Baker and Baking Specialist appeared. - There was a bug where if you keep the New Year Cake claim menu open into the next year, you could claim the next New Year Cake (ex: if the New Year Cake is Year 100, you could wait in the menu until the event is over to claim a Year 101) This has since been patched.
