Obtaining

A Pioneer Pickaxe was obtainable by logging on to the Alpha Network at least once during testing for the ⏣ Crystal Hollows. It could be claimed from Jerry's Personal Deliveries if the player met said requirements.

Trivia

• The inventor of this item, Thomas Pickson, is a reference to Thomas Edison, America's so-called "greatest inventor".
• The Pioneer Pickaxe can only be reforged with Reforge Stones and not basic reforging.
• Because the pickaxe is SPECIAL, when reforged with Refined, it gives better stats than the  Stonk, making it give more Skill XP when collecting Mining Minions.
  • When Reforged to Refined and Recombobulated, this item gives 9 ☯ Mining Wisdom when held. This can be increased to 19 ☯ Mining Wisdom with Compact X. This is the highest mining exp boost possible from any held item. This pickaxe would also give a 0.7% chance to grant you the enchanted version of blocks you mine (because of Compact).
• This item does 4x lower Damage compared to regular Wooden Pickaxe, suggesting the item's Damage is 3.75. However to enemies that aren't Ice Walkers, it does equal damage to the one of a player's fist. And to Ice Walkers it does 1000x higher damage than fists, contrary to the usual ~154x, reasons for this are unknown.
