The Potato King was an NPC located near the Map, granting talismans and special items. The following items were available at no cost:
Potato Talisman, granted to all players.- Basket of Hope from the Great Potato War, granted to players in the top 1000 Potato Collection.
- Potato Crown, granted to the winner of the Great Potato War ([PIG+++] Technoblade).
- Potato War Silver Medal, granted to the second-highest potato collection ([YOUTUBE] im_a_squid_kid).

- The Potato King's skin is based on the YouTuber [PIG+++] Technoblade. He is seen holding a giant potato. He was the first YouTube personality to have an in-game NPC, with thirtyvirus, TimeDeo, FurryEBoy, 56ms, and Refraction all receiving their own as Generals. Technoblade also received another NPC as the Resistance Leader, making him the only YouTube personality to have multiple in-game NPCs.
- The Potato King was added as a reward for Technoblade winning The Great Potato War.
- The NPC was supposed to be up for only 24 hours, but was made to stay until the end of Friday, June 26, 2020 by the Hypixel team "to make sure nobody misses out" [1]. However, the NPC remained until the following Tuesday, June 30, 2020, when it was removed.
