The RNG Meter is a mechanic that lets the player select a rare drop from Dungeons, Slayers and the Crystal Nucleus. Experience is needed to fill the meter until it is full, at which point the player is guaranteed their selected drop.
RNG Meter[]
As of the SkyBlock 0.14 update, RNG meters for dungeons and slayers were implemented into the game.
The player can select an item from the menu, and there will be a meter filled with Catacombs XP (only added from scores of S/S+ runs, where S runs only give 70% of the dungeon score) or Slayer XP (after defeating the Tier 3 boss in the respective slayer). As the player fills up the meter, the drop rate of the item will increase, and when the meter is filled, the next run is guaranteed to drop the selected item. Each Dungeon Floor has a certain loot pool that you are able to select. You may only select ONE at a time for each floor. To access the menu: Skyblock menu>Skills>Dungeoneering>select dungeoneering skill progress menu>right above the close icon. The menu is depicted as the normal minecraft sign item.
The formula of the drop rate of an item with the RNG Meter is (not official):
For example, a Giant's Sword would take on average 482 instead of 909 S+ runs to get from a Bedrock Chest if it is selected on the RNG Meter.
The RNG Meter will reset if you get the selected drop before the meter is filled.
The RNG Meter does not reset if you obtain a rare drop that you have not selected as your drop.
