Revision as of 01:02, 2 July 2020
Reforging is a mechanic that allows the player to add additional stats to Weapons and Armors, similar to Enchanting. It is quite useful for all levels of gear since the buff amount given varies with different items Rarity.
To Reforge your item, head to the Blacksmith and interact with them to bring up the reforging menu. Then you can apply Reforge stats to your weapons or armors with a cost price.
As of Skyblock patch v0.7.11, you can now reforge your entire Accessory Bag all at once, and is cheaper, according to the changelog forum post. To reforge your Accessory Bag, interact with the Blacksmith NPC, then click on "Accessory Bag Reforging" on the bottom of the GUI. Then click the anvil to reforge your bag. The Reforge given is random, and players will only know the Reforge given after the Reforge has been paid. The cost of reforging will depends on the Rarity of the item.
When weapons or armor are upgraded, Reforges are usually kept. However, if an Accessory is upgraded (such as upgrading a Feather Talisman into a Feather Ring, or Sea Creature Talisman into a Sea Creature Ring), the Reforge on the item will be lost. The only exceptions to this rule is the Ring of Love, and the Campfire Badge, where upgrading them will allow them to keep their Reforges. Thus, it is recommended to Reforge said accessories as soon as possible to minimize coins lost.
Prices
The player's first Reforge is available for 10 Coal, but all subsequent Reforges will cost the player Coins based on the item's Rarity. The prices are as follows:
Reforge Rarity | Price (coins) |
---|---|
COMMON | 125 |
UNCOMMON | 250 |
RARE | 500 |
EPIC | 1250 |
LEGENDARY | 2500 |
SPECIAL | |
Mythic |
No SPECIAL rarity items can be Reforged, so it is the only rarity excluded on this page.
(During the first week of the reforging rework, all prices were halved to allow for a smoother transition between the old system and the new system)
Weapon Reforges
These are the Reforges that are applicable to any Weapon (Swords, Bows, Magic Weapons) and Fishing Rods.
Armor Reforges
These are the Reforges that are only applicable to any Armor piece.
Dragon Armor and other Prefixes
In addition to the Reforges mentioned above, some dragon armors share a name with certain Reforges. To avoid repeats ("Wise Wise Dragon Armor"), they use a different prefix. They still have the same stat bonuses.
Reforge | Actual | Effects |
---|---|---|
Very | Wise | Wise Dragon Armor |
Strong | Strong Dragon Armor | |
Highly | Superior | Superior Dragon Armor |
Extremely (Coming soon) | Heavy | Heavy Armor (Coming soon) |
Absolutely (Coming soon) | Perfect (Coming soon) | Perfect Armor |
Accessory Reforges
These are the Reforges that are only applicable to Accessories (Talismans, Rings, Artifacts).
Reforge Stones
Reforge Stones are Items, which you can apply to Armor and Weapons by talking to Malik the Blacksmith. Please see the linked article above for more details.
Recommended Reforges

---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
COMMON | UNCOMMON | RARE | EPIC | LEGENDARY | ||

✎ Intelligence | Wise | |||||
☣ Crit Chance and ❁ Damage | Pure | Fierce | ||||
Accessories | ❁ Damage | Itchy | Forceful | Strong | ||

☣ Crit Chance | Unpleasant | Unpleasant | ||||
✎ Intelligence | Demonic, Pretty | |||||
Bows | ❁ Damage | Rapid | ||||
☣ Crit Chance | Nasty, Unreal or Fine | |||||
Swords | ❁ Damage | Spicy | ||||
✎ Intelligence, and ☣ Crit Chance | Legendary |
*Generally, Strong allows the player to deal more damage when reforged on their EPIC or LEGENDARY accessories than Itchy due to its ❁ Strength bonus, since it increases the damage output more than ☠ Crit Damage does. However, if the player wishes to fully maximize their ☠ Crit Damage (such as for Mastiff Armor), Itchy would be the better choice as it has 5% more ☠ Crit Damage than Strong.
Reforge Revamp Update Changes
Reforging will be overhauled in the near future.[1]
(As of 7/1/2020. the update has been released.)
- New Special Reforges
Trivia
- This mechanic may be a reference to Terraria, as the game has a similar reforging mechanics and names. You can view a list here.
- It is unknown whether some Reforges are more common than others, though rumors say that Godly is slightly rarer.
- This is supported by the fact that it is the only reforge where its stat boost numbers are in Red rather than Dark Gray.
- The custom prefixes only apply to Armors, so it is possible to obtain a "Shiny Shiny Yellow Rock".
- Hypixel has announced new Reforges in the upcoming dungeons update that can be unlocked through the Mining Skill.
