Royal Resident

The Royal Resident is an NPC located in the ⏣ Barracks of Heroes. They attempt to make the player leave the room, by having an incredibly long set of dialogue.

[NPC] Royal Resident: I think it's the Golden Goblin, it gives out free powder. [NPC] Royal Resident: Get it before you'll regret it. [NPC] Royal Resident: Come on! Get it, you are gonna miss it! [NPC] Royal Resident: Anyway, do you want to see a magic trick? [NPC] Royal Resident: You do?? [NPC] Royal Resident: Ok get ready! [NPC] Royal Resident: You need to turn around for this one. At this point, the Royal Resident turns from the NPC appearance to a Cow. [NPC] Royal Resident: I am a cow now! [NPC] Royal Resident: How does that even work?? [NPC] Royal Resident: How can someone just turn into a cow just from someone imagining it? [NPC] Royal Resident: Maybe I am not a cow, but instead just a hallucination and you are dreaming it all? [NPC] Royal Resident: Have you ever thought about that? [NPC] Royal Resident: What if nothing was real? [NPC] Royal Resident: What if everything you knew and loved wasn't real? [NPC] Royal Resident: I mean that would be pretty crazy wouldn't it be? [NPC] Royal Resident: What if you are just inside of a simulation? [NPC] Royal Resident: And some higher power would control everything about you... [NPC] Royal Resident: How you look, how you talk, even the core fundamentals of who you actually are... [NPC] Royal Resident: I am a SHEEP now??? [NPC] Royal Resident: That's not what I meant!! [NPC] Royal Resident: I mean technically I said I didn't wanna be a cow anymore and you kind of did what I asked of you... [NPC] Royal Resident: But I didn't think you would turn me into another animal?! [NPC] Royal Resident: Whatever, I think I like being a sheep anyway. [NPC] Royal Resident: My wool is so fluffy! [NPC] Royal Resident: I feel very comfortable here. [NPC] Royal Resident: Maybe that's better than becoming a magician? [NPC] Royal Resident: Becoming a sheep! At this point, the NPC's name changes from "Royal Resident" to "No Name". [NPC] No Name: My mother told the doctor to not give me a name. [NPC] No Name: Because that's the best name - to not have name. [NPC] No Name: Think about it, there is nothing to make fun of about your name if you don't even have one. [NPC] No Name: My mother is a genius! [NPC] No Name: Just like me! [NPC] No Name: I guess she got that from me. [NPC] No Name: Actually that doesn't make any sense... Tips[]

You can hold right click instead of continually clicking the NPC to keep the dialogue going.
- Once he starts counting down, there is no need to click or hold mouse buttons anymore.

Trivia[]

The Royal Resident is one of the few NPCs that break the fourth wall, a term used to describe a character separated from its audience, due to it being in a "different world".
- This is because it is aware that it's on a server and that servers restart.
Its countdown takes roughly 25,000 seconds, or around 7 hours to complete.
Despite the reference to server restarts, the player can leave the lobby anytime after the Royal Resident starts counting down from 5,000 and it will continue the countdown when the player returns.
At line 79 it transforms into a cow, and at line 94 into a sheep, followed by revealing that he has no name at line 130.
21 lines after becoming "No Name", it will give the player The Cake.
The Cake is a reference to the game Portal.
- It takes around 15–20 minutes to obtain The Cake.
"Because of you and those meddling kids..." is a reference to a popular children's show, Scooby Doo.
At the end of the conversation, the achievement "Royal Conversation" Achievement is rewarded to the player.
