✦ Speed (✦ Spd) is one of the core player statistics. It is a measure of the walking and running speed of the player expressed as a percentage of the original speed.

Mechanics

✦ Speed is a measure of how much faster the player walks compared to the default speed. It is expressed as a percentage of the default speed.

✦ Speed is capped at 400% normally.

Movement speed in blocks per second can be calculated using this formula:

• Base Speed - amount of movement speed coded into Minecraft. Base Speed values for different actions are following:

Speed Modifier - your Speed stat value. Percent value must be converted to decimal (e.x. 230% = 2.3).

✦ Speed does not apply when airborne. Flying speed is always approximately 10.889 blocks/s (252%), or 21.778 blocks/s (504%) when sprinting, after reaching maximum velocity, and assuming you are moving straight forward at a perfect 90 degree angle and not holding any other movement keys.

Increasing Base Speed

Players have a base ✦ Speed of 100 by default. It can be increased by:

Increasing Maximum Speed

Players have a maximum ✦ Speed of 400% by default. It can be increased by:

• Young Dragon Armor's Full Set ability
• A LEGENDARY Black Cat Pet's first ability
• Equiping a Racing Helmet
• Mayor Technoblade
•  Cactus Knife increases the speed cap by 100 while in Garden

While the ✦ Speed stat can be increased to above 500, the real speed of the player can never be higher than 5x the normal walking speed, due to limitations of Minecraft.

Decreasing Speed

• A Slowness Potion decreases speed by the same intervals as speed potions.
• The Venomous Potion decreases speed by 5% per level up to 20%.
• Players may use Rancher's Boots to cap their speed at a lower value.
• The Warden Helmet halves ✦ Speed when worn.
• The Snail Pet caps the player's ✦ Speed at 100.
• The Bluetooth Ring decreases speed by 2

Theoretical Maximum Speed ( ignoring Speed Cap )

The maximum ✦ Speed reachable ( bypassing the speed cap ) can be reached by using this setup:

• The  Rogue Sword's ability activated ( 50 ✦ Speed ) ( take it out of your inventory immediately after use )
• Also using a  Aspect of the End ( 50 ✦ Speed ) ( take it out of your inventory immediately after use )
• Holding a  Hunter Knife with Chimera V ( 40 ✦ Speed + 220 ✦ Speed = 260 ✦ Speed )
• ( The  Yeti Rod with 1000 fish caught gives a bonus of 100 ✦ Speed was going to be used, but it cannot be enchanted with Chimera V. )
•  Racing Helmet reforged to the Light reforge ( 400 ✦ Speed + 6 ✦ Speed = 406 ✦ Speed )
•  Obsidian Chestplate reforged to the Light reforge and having  2,176x Obsidian in the Inventory ( 111 ✦ Speed + 5 ✦ Speed = 116 ✦ Speed )
•  Young Dragon Leggings reforged to the Light reforge ( 20 ✦ Speed + 6 ✦ Speed = 26 ✦ Speed )
•  Rancher's Boots reforged to the Light reforge,  Recombobulated, and enchanted with Sugar Rush III ( 390 ✦ Speed + 6 ✦ Speed + 6 ✦ Speed = 402 ✦ Speed )
• All having Legion V with 20 players close by ( 7 ✦ Speed x 4 ✦ Speed x 20 ✦ Speed = 140 ✦ Speed )
• Equipping a [Lv100] LEGENDARY  Ammonite Pet with  Fishing L (50) and  Mining LX (60) and a  Spooky Cupcake ( 220 ✦ Speed + 20 ✦ Speed = 240 ✦ Speed )
• Having 1653 Magical Power and having the Sweet Power ( 60 ✦ Speed )
• Equipping the  Potato Talisman,  Speed Artifact,  Cheetah Talisman,  Pig's Foot,  Wolf Paw,  Frozen Chicken and  Bat Artifact ( 12 ✦ Speed )
• Having 35 Accessories enriched with the  Speed Enrichment ( 35 ✦ Speed )
• Drinking one of each potion of maximum tier:  Speed Potion,  Adrenaline Potion,  Agility Potion,  Rabbit Potion,  Spirit Potion ( 60 ✦ Speed + 40 ✦ Speed + 40 ✦ Speed + 60 ✦ Speed + 40 ✦ Speed + ( 5 Potions x 8 ✦ Speed = 40 ✦ Speed ) = 280 ✦ Speed )
• Using the  Weirder Tuba ( 30 ✦ Speed )

This grants a total of 50 ✦ Speed + 260 ✦ Speed + 406 ✦ Speed + 116 ✦ Speed + 26 ✦ Speed + 402 ✦ Speed + 140 ✦ Speed + 240 ✦ Speed + 60 ✦ Speed + 12 ✦ Speed + 35 ✦ Speed + 280 ✦ Speed + 50 ✦ Speed + 30 ✦ Speed = 2107 ✦ Speed. However, this can be increased with A) Being inside of the ⏣ Catacombs, B) Standing on a  Haste Block, or C) Being in the Farming Islands. However, this is not possible.

Trivia

• When Mayor Technoblade was elected, the speed cap was supposedly removed, allowing players to achieve speed higher than 600%. However, the real speed of the player was still limited to 500%.
• There used to be a bug where the speed buff from the  Aspect of the End never ran out on the player's island. This allowed for the player to easily achieve 400% speed. This was patched in version 0.7.
• Riding on a [Lv1]  Skeleton Horse Pet is equivalent to walking with 200% ✦ Speed (8.62 B/s), and riding on a [Lv100] Skeleton Horse Pet is equivalent to walking with 500% ✦ Speed (21.55 B/s).
• Speed goes under the name speed in the SkyBlock API. However, items with ✦ Speed in the Rift Dimension have said stat go under the name rift_walk_speed. This means that while both stats act in the same way, they are technically different. Due to this, the speed bonus effect from Beacons does not work in the Rift, while other bonuses for stats such as ✯ Magic Find do.
• While the highest possible speed is 700 ✦ Speed,  Rancher's Boots's can be set to up to 1000.
