Obtaining

Thorn Collection

A Spirit Shortbow can be claimed once as a reward from Thorn III, which is unlocked after killing Thorn 150 times.

Dungeon Reward Chests

The Spirit Shortbow can be obtained from Obsidian Dungeon Reward Chests in The Catacombs - Floor IV. It costs 4,000,000 coins to open.

Usage

The Spirit Shortbow requires a The Catacombs - Floor IV completion to use. For every 1% missing ❤ Health its user has, it deals 2% more damage to Undead mobs.

The Spirit Shortbow is different from the Spirit Bow which drops in the Thorn fight from Spirit Bears. As such, it cannot damage Thorn.

Upon turning into a Ghost in Dungeons, it appears on the hotbar and can be used. Its Ability, Spirit Bomb, throws a spirit bomb dealing 8000 base damage on hit with a 10-second cooldown.

Upgrading

The Spirit Shortbow can be converted into a ⚚ Spirit Shortbow using  8x Thorn Fragments to buff its stats.

Trivia

• If it is in Storage, the Bow will still appear in the player's hotbar.
• Rend and Swarm work on this bow when in Ghost state.
• There is no cooldown to the ability while being a Ghost, unlike when the player is alive, which makes it easily spammable while a Ghost.
• This Shortbow's ability, Spirit Bomb, may be a reference to the anime/manga Dragon Ball.
• Even though it is a Shortbow, it has the longest base shot cooldown of 0.75s.
  • Even when it's converted to ⚚ Spirit Shortbow, the cooldown is longer than other Shortbows, at 0.7s.
• It used to share a name with the  Spirit Bow from the Thorn boss fight, even for some time after being changed into a Shortbow.
