The player has a 0.767% base chance to fish up 16x Spooky Bait when fishing in water. This can be doubled to yield 32x Spooky Bait with the Blessing Enchantment or when using Blessed Bait.

When on the Crimson Isle, this figure is raised to a 2.3438% chance but is further decreased on the Winter Island to 0.4839%.

Usage

Spooky Bait can be kept in either the player's inventory or Fishing Bag. When casting a Fishing Rod, a Spooky Bait will be consumed to grant +25 ☂ Fishing Speed and a 15% increase in Weight for spooky Sea Creatures. The effects last until the player reels in their rod.
