String is dropped by Spiders or Silverfish. These can be Spiders on a player's island or Spiders in The ⏣ Spider's Den.

String can also be obtained through the use of  Spider Minion or  Tarantula Minion on private islands or purchased from the Adventurer for 10 coins.
