Suspicious Scrap has a base 0.5% (1 in 200 rolls) chance of dropping when mining non-vanilla Ores while inside ⏣ Glacite Mineshafts.
Upon finding your first Suspicious Scrap, the chance of finding another one lowers each time, with a maximum amount of 5 Suspicious Scrap per ⏣ Glacite Mineshafts

Suspicious Scrap can also be obtained as a drop from Frozen Corpses, Suspicious Scrap obtained this was is not counted towards the 5 that can be obtained from mining.
Fossil Dust[]
Suspicious Scrap can also be obtained by exchanging 500 Fossil Dust at the Excavator.
Usage[]
Suspicious Scraps can be put into the Fossil Excavator along with a Chisel to get a variety of rewards, including Fossils, Fossil Dust,
