The Sven Packmaster is a Wolf-type mob which is hostile towards all players. It is very fast and has a melee attack.
As with all Slayer bosses, if the Sven Packmaster has not dealt damage to a player for some time, it will begin rapidly regenerating health. The regeneration immediately stops when it hits a player again. Additionally, if either it or its target stays in the same block for too long, it performs a slam-dunk attack, knocking the target towards it and dealing ✷ True Damage. If 4 minutes pass without the boss being defeated, it will despawn, failing the Slayer quest. A timer is shown above its head indicating the remaining time.
Like the Revenant Horror, if the Sven Packmaster enters the village it will immediately despawn and you will fail the Slayer Quest.
Each tier has all of the abilities from the one before it.
The wolf is small and fast, making it harder to hit.

Tier III and Tier IV[]
Upon reaching 50% health, the Sven Packmaster will begin moving very slowly, and no longer regenerates health[Confirm]; critical particles appear around it. It spawns 1 Sven Pup at its location every second for 5 seconds, during which it is protected from attacks. Each Sven Pup has 10% of the max health of the Packmaster. When it is spawning pups, the text above its head reads "Calling the pups!", after which it says "Protected". If all the pups are killed, the Packmaster returns to its original behaviour. When either the pups or the Packmaster attacked the player, the Packmaster won't regenerate health.
Minibosses[]
These are possible Minibosses that could spawn upon killing a Wolf when a Sven Packmaster Slayer quest is active. It is also possible to spawn another miniboss directly after killing one.
An EPIC or LEGENDARYWolf Pet is especially useful to tank oncoming attacks better, as its Alpha Dog ability can cut down up to 30% of the damage received from the Sven Packmaster.
Giving the pet a Dwarf Turtle Shelmet can be a good idea if the player has a hard time fighting the boss due to being constantly thrown around by its high knockback.
The extra ❤ Health from this ability combo helps tank the pups that the Sven PackmasterTier III and above spawns.
Sven PackmastersTier III and above will stop regenerating ❤ Health once it starts spawning its pups, and the boss itself will move very slowly. It is recommended to heal oneself during this time try to not to take any ❁ Damage when it is this state.
A common strategy for players who cannot tank the Sven Packmaster's attacks well is to fight it in water, which allows the player to control the damage they receive to prevent health regeneration. The pups that spawn with a Sven PackmasterTier III and above will stop attacking the player and drown.
The pond next in the ⏣ Mountain, near the ⏣ Ruins is quick and easy to fight the boss in. The player can grind out wolves that grant high amounts of XP in the ⏣ Howling Cave and then teleport to the ⏣ Ruins when there is little XP required to spawn the boss. A Lead can be used on a Wolf to bring it to the pond, where the player kill it and spawn the boss.
Normal, non-multiplicative regeneration items such as Wand of Healing and its upgrades become next to useless when using Mastiff Armor due to it barely adding up to the massive health pool it provides. Thus, a Zombie Sword and its upgrade, the Ornate Zombie Sword is a substitute for instant healing.
Letting the boss hit the player every <15 seconds prevents the boss from regenerating.
Since the boss does ✷ True Damage at higher tiers, which makes ❈ Defense less valuable, armor that grants high amounts of ❤ Health, like Superior Dragon Armor, are highly recommended to absorb the blows from the Packmaster. It is also a good idea to enchant armor with Growth, for an extra ❤ Health boost.
True Protection can help slightly in cutting down received ❁ Damage from the Sven Packmaster.
Wearing Sorrow Armor is advised when fighting this boss, since it has enough ❂ True Defense to keep the player alive and additional ✯ Magic Find, helping the chances of dropping rarer loot.
A Souls Rebound used to be able to prevent the Sven Packmaster second phase from occurring and could kill it in one hit with decent gear. This method is no longer available as it has since been patched.
Trivia[]
This mob's name could be a reference to Sven, the pet wolf in PewDiePie's 2019 Minecraft series.
The "mad scientist" mentioned in the Sven Packmaster's lore could possibly be Aura.
All Sven Packmasters are immune to all types of ability damage and ranged damage, including the ability of Flower of Truth. Voodoo Doll used to be able to damage the Sven Packmaster but it was shadow-patched.
