The Shadow Fury is a rare drop from the Bedrock Chest in The Catacombs - Floor V. It costs 15M coins to open. Like all dungeon items, it has a chance to be Recombobulated or Starred when received from a Chest.

Usage

The Shadow Fury is a melee weapon. Players must complete The Catacombs - Floor V to be able to use this weapon.

Its ability teleports the player behind up to 5 enemies within 12 blocks in rapid succession. Upon teleporting, the target is stunned and dealt melee ❁ Damage. This continues to work even when the Shadow Fury is not held and doing so will change the damage of the hit according to what weapon you are currently holding. The ability has a 15-second cooldown and costs no ✎ Mana.

It can be salvaged for 50 Wither Essence.

Crafting

It can be upgraded with Livid Fragments to provide an additional +10 ✦ Speed, +10 ❁ Damage, +30 ❁ Strength, +30 ☠ Crit Damage and an extra Combat Gemstone Slot, which can hold Ruby, Amethyst, Sapphire and Jasper Gemstones for Intelligence and Strength.

Trivia

• It can teleport players to Decoys, Deathmites, Bats, Wither Cloak Sword Creeper Veil creepers, Shiny Pigs and Wither Armor Witherborn withers.
• It can teleport players to enemies behind walls.
  • It can also teleport through wither doors, if the mobs behind it are loaded and within 12 blocks of the player.
• It can target some mobs with immunity of ability damage, such as Rats, Golden Goblins, and Spooky Mobs.
• It cannot target the mobs of Wolf Slayer quests.
• Shadow Fury references the "Starcraft 2" unit Dark Templar. It has an ability called Shadow Fury which is nearly identical to this item’s ability.
  • It is additionally referenced to Void Crawler's old ultimate in Smash Heroes, where he would teleport to random players up to 5 times, blinding them in the process whilst being able to attack them.
• It can be considered a better version of the Silent Death, with better stats, rarity and ability.
• When using its ability, switching to the Livid Dagger will apply its +100% damage bonus on backstabs.
