Even though it is usable at Spider Slayer LVL IV, crafting the Tarantula Chestplate and Tarantula Helmet require Spider Slayer LVL V.

Usage

Tarantula Armor requires Spider Slayer LVL IV to use.

Similar to  Revenant Armor, Tarantula Armor can have its ❈ Defense upgraded against Spiders.

Each piece of armor has its own number of kills. When all pieces have maxed kills, it accumulates 1440 ❈ Defense against spiders, beating Tier 12  Perfect Armor.

The Tarantula Helmet grants 1 ☠ Crit Damage per 10 ❁ Strength the wearer has, up to 1000 ❁ Strength and 100 ☠ Crit Damage. The extra ☠ Crit Damage does not show in the stats menu.

The Tarantula Boots allow its wearer to jump midair. Each jump costs 40 ✎ Mana. The Tarantula Boots are also part of the secret Monster Raider set.

When the full set is worn, every 4th hit deals x2 ❁ Damage and reduces the healing of the enemy hit by 40% for 4s. Thunderlord conflicts with the ability.

Tips

• The Tarantula Helmet is commonly used in place of other armor sets' helmets, due to Radioactive. It is often paired with the armors that give high strength such as  Shadow Assassin Armor,  Necron's Armor and  Crimson Armor.
• The Tarantula Leggings have the lowest stats of any of the armor pieces and no ability.
  • Therefore, it is advised to substitute them for almost any other leggings.

Trivia

• Tarantula Armor is one of 6 armor pieces which have the darkest color with a hex color code of  #000000.
  • The others are  Obsidian Chestplate,  Squid Boots,  Bat Person Armor,  Shadow Assassin Armor and  Rancher's Boots.^[Confirm]
