The Forge

⏣ The Forge is an area of ⏣ Dwarven Mines. Players can use The Forge to refine certain items into their refined form, and create powerful gear, items, and accessories. Heart of the Mountain Tier 2 is required to use The Forge. Players have a limited amount of processes available to them at a single time, with additional slots and new recipes unlocking with Heart of the Mountain progressions.

The Forge is located at 0, 149, -68 in ⏣ Dwarven Mines.

When the player first enters ⏣ The Forge, they will be greeted with the following message:

Despite the area having no requirements, Mining 15 is required to Fast Travel there.

Mechanics[]

Players begin with 2 Forge slots at Heart of the Mountain Tier 2, which they can use to forge items. Heart of the Mountain tiers 3 and 4, as well as Peak of the Mountain level 2 unlock one additional forge slot each.

Forging processes cannot be canceled once started.

The Quick Forge perk decreases the time taken to forge items by up to 30% at max level. This takes effect dynamically whenever the perk is active, meaning leveling it up decreases the forge time of items that are already forging, and disabling it resets their forge time to whatever would be left if Quick Forge had never been used.

When Cole is elected as Mayor or Minister with their Molten Forge perk, forge processes started during their term will have a further 25% reduction in their forge times. This does not apply retroactively to processes started before Cole was elected.
