Status | Weapon | Requirements | Bazaar Cost | Notes | Optional? |
---|---|---|---|---|---|

Early-game | 130,000 coins | Great early game weapon due to its cheap price. It grows in power the more you use it as it gains Damage and Strength as you rack up kills and wood collection. | Yes | ||
Early-game | Combat 18, Catacombs 12 (dungeonized) | This sword is viable in the start of Dungeons up to Floor II. With Strong Dragon Armor and a Dragonfuse Glove, it becomes a powerful Berserker weapon, granting you lots of Strength. When dungeonised, it can be used up to floor V. | Yes | ||
Early-game | Floor II completion | This weapon is a viable early-game Dungeon weapon, as it is affected by Dungeon scaling giving it high stats in Dungeons, and has a very reasonable price, costing typically around 1,000,000–2,000,000 coins on the Auction House. | Yes | ||
Early-game | Floor IV completion | The Spirit Sword is an effective Berserker weapon due to its high damage, as well as being relatively cheap. It also allows you to use it when you are dead. The price is around 2,000,000–4,000,000 coins on the Auction House. | No | ||
Early-game | Floor III completion | While a Hyper Cleaver isn't the best for single-target hits, it is not a bad choice for attacking a group of mobs. | Yes | ||
Early-game | Catacombs 20 | The Fel Sword, although cheap, isn't good. While its stats are comparable to a 50 million Midas Sword when maxed, it takes a while to get there due to requiring kills to increase its damage. | Yes | ||
Early Mid-game | Floor V completion | A powerful sword obtained from Floor V that provides 100% ☣ Crit Chance and 50% ⚔ Bonus Attack Speed, removing the need for optimizing the two stats. This sword also deals double ❁ Damage when backstabbing enemies. | No | ||
Mid-game | Floor V completion | Considered an upgrade to the Livid Dagger, it boasts higher damage and an ability that teleports you to nearby enemies and hitting them. It is very expensive however, costing over 50 million coins. | No | ||
Mid-game | Floor VI completion | The Flower of Truth deals great damage for its price. It can be used as a ranged weapon due to its ability homing in on to up to three mobs. Do not use its ability in boss rooms, because it costs ❤ Health. | Yes | ||
Mid/Late-game | Zombie Slayer Lvl 7 | One of the most underrated weapons in the game, quite viable for Berserks with higher ✎ Intelligence or left click Mages. This is due to it having 2/3 of the damage of the Giant's Sword, 10 ✦ Speed, and not an impossible requirement to meet. | Yes | ||
Mid-Game + | Floor VI completion | Unfinished | The Felthorn Reaper should be used with a Giant's Sword due to its abilities and good damage, rivaling the Shadow Fury. | No | |
Mid/Late Game | Floor VI completion | A direct upgrade of the Flower of Truth, it can shoot 3 roses, further improving your clear time. The ability still costs health. It also provides a boost in both ❁ Damage and ☠ Crit Damage, that gives it almost as much DPS as other midgame weapons for a much cheaper price in the Auction House. | |||
Mid/Late-Game | Floor VI completion | Tied for the highest ❁ Damage stat of any sword in the game with Dark Claymore in exchange for no ❁ Strength or ☠ Crit Damage. It also has an ability that allows you to deal massive amounts of damage in a large radius, similar to an upgraded Golem Sword, giving it an ability to clear rooms, although not a reliable option due to the cooldown. | No | ||
Late-Game | Zombie Slayer Lvl 8, Catacombs 25 (Dungeonized) | This axe has the highest ❁ Damage bonus to zombies at a 250% increase, and is an exceptionally powerful as a sword swap. It's ability is similar to the Livid Dagger, throwing an axe that deals 10% of your melee ❁ Damage, doubling every time it's used until it deals 16x ❁ Damage. | Yes | ||
Late-End Game | Floor VII completion | A variant of the Necron's Blade. It is recommended to use the Valkyrie variant as it provides the most DPS when hitting an enemy (left click). Additionally, Wither Impact (acquired from Necron's Blade Scrolls) is one of the best support abilities in the game, providing damage reduction, an Absorption shield, and dealing massive damage to enemies within a few blocks. It costs over 1,000,000,000 coins.
Due to it's high base Ferocity, it fares well with the Fatal Tempo enchant. It can be used alongside an Axe of the Shredded with a strategy involving throwing your axe while immediately swapping to a Fatal Tempo Valkyrie so that the thrown axe benefits from the Ferocity increase. |
No | ||
End-Game | Master Mode VII completion | An extremely strong weapon obtained from Post-Boss Chests in Master Mode VII.
It costs 150,000,000 coins to open. This sword is tied for the highest ❁ Damage in the game with the Giant's Sword. but becomes more powerful than the aforementioned weapon due to it granting an additional 100 ❁ Strength and 30 ☠ Crit Damage. |
No [unless using midas sword] | ||

Support Weapons[]
The weapons below are all support weapons and optional. Most of them are for any stage of the game, as they all have different uses.
Status | Weapon | Requirements | Bazaar Cost | Notes | Optional? |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Late-game | This weapon is useful because of its ability to freeze powerful monsters in place, allowing you to hit them. | Until late Master Mode | |||
Late-Game | Enderman Slayer Lvl 6 | 47,386,338 coins | This weapon is especially useful for Floor VI because it can drag enemies to one place and hold them, similar to the Ice Spray Wand, so it's really good for fighting Terracottas. | Yes, but only before Master Mode | |
Any | The Rogue Sword's ability can be useful for gaining ✦ Speed, if you have high enough ✎ Intelligence. The ❁ Damage on this sword is almost non-existent, but with a Heroic Reforge and maxed essence, can be very helpful for utility. | No, unless you already have 400 ✦ Speed | |||
Any | 755,203 coins | Similar to the Rogue Sword, the Aspect of the End is bad for ❁ Damage, but incredibly useful for movement. This weapon is highly recommended for Berserkers to use. | No | ||
Any | Catacombs 18 (Dungeonized) | The healing on these swords can be quite helpful if you are on low health. | No | ||
Any | Zombie Slayer Lvl 1/3/6/7 | Good for players with bad ❤ Effective Health. | No | ||
Mid-game+ | Zombie Slayer Lvl 5 | 1,146,445 coins | The Voodoo Doll slows and inflicts heavy damage over time to all targets struck. It can stack if multiple arrows managed to hit a single enemy. This weapon excels as a secondary weapon for fighting mini-bosses. It can be upgraded to the Jynxed Voodoo Doll to improve it's abilities. | Yes | |
Early/Mid-game | Combat 18, Catacombs 12 (Dungeonized) | Its ability to knock mobs away can be useful for early and even mid-game Berserkers, to help them survive higher floors. | Yes |
Recommended Armors[]
These armor pieces/sets either provide lots of ❁ Strength or have special abilities that can help you out as a Berserk.
Status | Armor | Requirements | Bazaar Cost | Notes |
---|---|---|---|---|
Any | 3,911,904 coins | While being quite expensive, This set has no requirements and has high Effective Health, further increased with its ability allowing Ferocity procs to increase your Defense. | ||
Early-game | Combat 16 Catacombs 12 |
12,322,128 coins | Strong Dragon Armor is a somewhat cheap set that can be used on low floors that also buffs the Aspect of the End. Players often use the Tarantula Helmet giving 1 ☠ Crit Damage per every 10 ❁ Strength (caps at 1000 ❁ Strength and 100 ☠ Crit Damage) with this set. When dungeonised and 5 starred, this set could easily be comparable to more expensive sets, like the Shadow Assassin Armor. | |
Early-game | Catacombs 9 | While the Zombie Soldier Armor is more geared to be for Tanks, the Fierce or Pure reforges will provide a decent amount of ❤ Health and additional ❁ Damage, making up for its tank orientation. | ||
Early-game | Combat 16 Catacombs 10 |
3,238,752 coins | The ☣ Crit Chance and ☠ Crit Damage is quite useful for Entrance up to Floor II. When dungeonised, players wearing Unstable can play up to Floor V. | |
Early-game | Floor III Completion | Adaptive Armor provides you with all-round stats bonus and allows you to increase your damage significantly, whilst being extremely cheap. Adaptive Armor after being upgraded is actually better than Superior Dragon Armor. However, this set has been outclassed by sets like Shadow Assassin armor, as the pieces are generally not much cheaper giving less stats. | ||
Early/Mid-game | Combat 16 Catacombs 10 |
3,035,232 coins | Young Dragon Armor is viable, but only if it is 5 starred. With the Fierce or Ancient reforge 5 starred Young Dragon Armor can easily do high damage and it gives a lot of speed. | |
Mid-game | Catacombs 14 | Zombie Knight Armor gives you more ❈ Defense than the armor below, which improves your survivability in the Dungeons. The set also gives you a good amount of ❁ Strength. This set along with the Adaptive Armor set are probably the best armor sets you can go for a budget Berserker setup. | ||
Mid-game | Floor V Completion Spider Slayer 4 Combat Level 18 Catacombs 14 |
Each piece also grants bonuses after using a sword with a teleporting ability such as the Aspect of the End or a Shadow Fury. Currently, this set is considered to be one of the best sets for berserker, although it has low Effective Health because the armor set allows for high damage output, this set is the second best set for the Berserker class, granting marginally less stats than the best Berserker armor in the game, Necron's Armor. A Baby Yeti Pet can be used to make up for the lacking defense, giving a great amount of extra Defense due to the 2nd perk. A Tarantula Helmet also can be useful if you have spider slayer IV, dealing just a bit more damage. When you can afford Necron's Armor, just buy the same setup as this, but switch the Shadow Assassin for Necron.
Note: the Shadow Assassin Chestplate can be replaced with an Unstable Dragon Chestplate or Zombie Knight Chestplate if you cannot afford the full set. | ||
Mid-game | Floor VI completion Catacombs 19 |
Necromancer Lord Armor grants the user a decent amount of ❤ Effective Health, making it a good armor set for berserkers who are in need of more ❈ Defense and ❤ Health especially for its relatively low cost compared to other berserker armor sets. However, it will deal much less ❁ Damage than Shadow Assassin Armor. | ||
Late/End-game | Catacombs 20 | Frozen Blaze Armor grants the user more ❤ Effective Health than Necron's Armor, especially when paired with a Legendary Blaze Pet. When it is paired with the Blaze Pet, it is considered the current best armor set in the game. However, without the Blaze Pet, the only reason to use this set is because it has far more ❤ Effective Health than Necron's Armor. Additionally, it is recommended to replace the helmet with Tarantula Helmet or the respective gold/diamond boss head for the floor, or a warden helmet out of dungeons. | ||
Late/End-game | Floor VII completion | Necron's armor is heavily geared towards the Berserker class granting a large amount of ❁ Strength and ☠ Crit Damage. Wearing it also grants decent survivability. Necron's Armor is the most expensive and most powerful berserker set in the game, making it an late-endgame armor set, thus not recommended for new players. Its overall stats are only slightly better than Shadow assassin. It is still recommended to purchase the set, as it is arguably the best armor set in the game for damage overall in Dungeons and melee damage outside, if you can afford it. Its full set bonus "Witherborn" spawns a detonating wither to aid you, providing additional damage. It is generally advised to use Maxor's Boots instead of Necron's for extra ✦ Speed.
Note: the Diamond Necron Head can be replaced with a Tarantula Helmet or Warden Helmet outside of dungeons. |
Recommended Pets[]
Having a good Berserker pet can greatly improve your berserker abilities. These are some recommended ones.
Status | Pet | Requirements | Bazaar Cost | Notes | Optional? |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Very Early-Game | This is an extremely cheap pet, so is viable for early-game. It goes on the Auction House for under 5,000 coins. | No | |||
Early-Mid game | A cheap pet that has decent abilities, this pet can give high ferocity and can be used as a low-budget tiger. | Yes | |||
Mid-game | 15,719,975 coins for LEGENDARY | This pet is good for room-clearing as it gives ✦ Speed and ❁ Strength and buffs the First Strike, Triple-Strike and Combo enchants. The LEGENDARY version's King of the Jungle ability can also be very overpowered when fighting minibosses and bosses, providing up to 150% more ❁ Damage against monsters that have attacked you. | Yes | ||
Mid-game | This pet provides overall good stats and people often use it for the ability (which is only available to UNCOMMON griffins and above), Legendary Constitution, since potion effects are paused in Dungeons. Also this is paired with the pet item, Minos Relic, it can do decent damage. However, prioritize a | Yes | |||
Mid-game | 11,239,554 coins for LEGENDARY | This is a really good pet to increase ❤ Health and ❈ Defense for Berserkers who would need more survivability. However it doesnt have ❁ Damage stats. This is typically recommended to be skipped in favor of a Baby Yeti pet, which tends to be cheaper and provide more EHP & damage depending on the player's stats. | Yes | ||
Mid-game | 1,988,682 coins | The Wither Skeleton Pet provides you with some decent ❁ Damage stats. The LEGENDARY version of this pet is highly recommended as the ability lets you deal additional wither damage. The high amount of Wither Damage will boost your ❁ Damage by quite a lot. It is also helpful on Floor VII's boss fight. | Yes | ||
Mid/Late-game | 10,898,458 coins for LEGENDARY | The Giraffe Pet, while not seeming very helpful at first, becomes viable when using a Longsword such as the Felthorn Reaper or Giant's Sword. It gives additional Ⓢ Swing Range, gives additional ❁ Strength and ☠ Crit Damage based on your Ⓢ Swing Range, and provides double damage when attacking monsters from more than 3 blocks away. It also gives some ❤ Effective Health due to the extra ❣ Health Regen it provides. You should only use the LEGENDARY version of this pet. | Yes | ||
Late-game | While it may provide poor damage stats, its Ice Shields ability converts your ❁ Strength into ❈ Defense. When combined with the Flower of Truth and Withered Reforge, it can boost your defense to be extremely high, this pet is recommended for berserkers who need survivability, as it can give more ❤ Effective Health than a Blue Whale pet. A legendary version of this pet costs around 18,000,000 coins at the lowest. | No | |||
Late-game | 80,854,484 coins | This pet is only viable when you pair it up with the Frozen Blaze Armor. It boosts the armor and also doubles the effect of Hot Potato Books. | Yes, unless using Frozen Blaze Armor | ||
End-game | Second best damage pet after the Golden Dragon. The LEGENDARY version provides you with up to a 10% boost in almost all your stats. | No | |||
End-game | 574,516,203 coins | The Golden Dragon provides zero defensive stats in exchange for pure ❁ Damage. All its abilities are geared towards increasing your ❁ Strength, ✯ Magic Find and ❁ Damage, alongside even more damage if you have millions in your bank. | No |
Recommended Reforges[]
Armor reforges[]
- Ancient (Precursor Gear) - For damage reforges on armor, this is one of the best options in the game. Due to it's provision of significant strength and crit damage, it severely outclasses all other options for most dungeon players.
- Giant (Giant Tooth) - This reforge is great for people who need higher EHP and survivability as it provides high amounts of Health.
- Fierce - This is good for Early-game.
- Renowned/Spiked - Gives all round stats, with Renowned providing a +1% to all combat stats.
Sword reforges[]
- Withered (Wither Blood) - This reforge, while being quite costly, provides the most ❁ Strength out of any reforge in the game. Paired with a Flower of Truth or Bouquet of Lies, you will achieve massive amounts of ❁ Strength, however since ❁ Strength and ☠ Crit Damage should be balanced for maximum DPS, it is generally recommended to apply the Fabled reforge unless you have a very high Catacombs level or are using a weapon with high ☠ Crit Damage, such as the Felthorn Reaper.
- Fabled - The ability can grant up to +15% bonus damage on any given crit, as well as providing significant ☠ Crit Damage. This may help balance out the often overdone ❁ Strength of the berserker class.
- Suspicious (Suspicious Vial) - Has a high amount of ☠ Crit Damage, along with a bit of ☣ Crit Chance.
- Gilded (Midas Jewel) - Has phenomenal stats, but is only applicable upon the Midas' Sword. When using Midas' Sword, this reforge is the best option.
Gemstones[]
- Jasper Gemstone or Onyx Gemstone are the best Gemstones for Berserker as they grant a bonus of up to 16 ❁ Strength or 12 ☠ Crit Damage per Gemstone slot. See Gemstone Slot#Stat Bonuses
Tips[]
- The most optimal way to play Berserker in Master Mode is to wear a Golden Head or a Diamond Head of that floor with Necron's Armor, Golden Dragon Pet, and a Terminator, as melee doesn't really work well in Master Mode.
- The Tarantula Helmet's ability does not scale in dungeons and is therefore not very good in mid-game or above.
- Ferocity doesn't work, so do not use the Tiger Pet.
- The Warden Helmet halves your speed, which is not beneficial for clearing, so avoid it. It also can not be dungeonized, resulting in it often being worse than most alternatives.
