Due to the Fact that [[Strength]] and [[Critical Damage|Crit Damage]] are now equal in terms of [[Damage]] (assuming you crit with every hit), you'll need the same amount of Strength and Crit Damage to maximize your [[Damage]]. That's because in the formula for [[Damage]], the Base [[Damage]] is multiplied by both Strength and Crit Damage in a similar, and preferably same proportion. For example, choosing 150 turning points between Strength and Critical Damage, people without either of the stats should go for 75 Strength and 75 Critical Damage, because (1+75/100)*(1+75/100)(3.0625x) > 1+75/100+75/100(2.5x).

To make it easier to calculate the [[Critical Damage|Crit Damage]] you'll need for your [[Strength]] you can use this formula.

<code>damage = (5 + weapon damage) x (1 + strength/100) x (1 + crit damage / 100) x (1 + additive multiplier / 100)</code>

Using Weapons with [[Dragon Claw|Fabled]] or [[Wither Blood|Withered]], Armors with [[Reforging/Armor Reforges|Fierce]] or [[Precursor Gear|Ancient]], Accessory Powers with [[Scorched Books|Scorching]], [[Mandraa|Strong]], [[Magma Urchin|Hurtful]], [[Beating Heart|Bloody]], [[Acacia Birdhouse|Forceful]], [[Dark Orb|Shaded]] or [[Luxurious Spool|Silky]] can increase Strength and Critical Damage by a certain amount.


(Note: Strength used to be better than Crit Damage as a fifth of it used to be added to the base damage before the normal strength, crit damage, and additive multiplier. This was changed in Version 0.11.5)
