It is recommended to use data located at Module:ItemInfo/Weapon Data for this template. If it is not already present in the Module, you can add the following code to the data Module:
The Wither Cloak Sword can be used as a melee weapon.
Right-clicking with it in hand toggles the Creeper Veil ability. Toggling on the ability does not cost ✎ Mana, but has a 10s cooldown between activations; the Ability remains active even when swapping away from the sword. When the ability is active, 6 invisible Charged Creepers surround the player that last for 10s. The player cannot attack using Melee or Magic Weapons when the ability is active; Bows and other abilities will still work. Upon taking damage, it is nullified at the cost of 20% of the user's ✎ Mana. This mana cost is affected by Ultimate Wise. Should the player not have enough mana to absorb another hit, the veil will automatically toggle off.
Lava in Necron's, Storm's, and Goldor's boss rooms will still have its launching effect when its damage is nullified by the veil. If the player switches Armor with the ability active, it will be toggled off. This ability can also be used to survive Storm's Lightning Attack.
During the Trial of Fire, the Creeper Veil ability will trigger as long as the player's maximum ❤ Health is above that of a single fire tick, preventing all damage. If the player has sufficiently high ❤ HP (higher than 35,280) and enough ✎ Mana to survive the ticks (Deployables can be used to increase Mana recovery and Ultimate Wise can reduce the cost), the 30th tier can be completed easily.
Wither Cloak Sword works well when paired with Soulflow Supercell or its predecessors.
The Creeper Veil ability is able to nullify the damage from the Yang Glyphs in the Voidgloom Seraph boss fight, making it used to possible to semi-afk these bosses in combination with a Necromancy weapon, as well as prevent failing the quest when the Yang Glyphs were thrown into a wall or somewhere unknown. The former one has been nerfed to almost impossible since Necromancy mobs now get despawned by Voidgloom Seraph.
Trivia[]
At some point, the ability would persist even when the item was removed from the player's inventory, this has been since patched.
The ability used to do Damage (base 200 per second) to nearby enemies, which was exploited by some for idle profits.
Sometimes, the charged creepers from the veil will persist if the user leaves the server while the veil is active. These charged creepers can be locked on to by the Flower of Truth, but otherwise have no effect. [Confirm]
